CHURN

We spend most of our lives in a routine. We churn out one day after another of the same old crap. Settling into a routine of just barely surviving.

It’s as if we are all no matter race, color or creed born a slave to someone else’s grand design.

Our minds imprisoned to think it’s how we are supposed to live. Handed down by centuries of incarceration.

I think somewhere down the line something got lost in translation.

We are all just rats in a cage spinning on that infinite wheel that goes nowhere.

Are we all that remains of a science project gone horribly wrong? Or are we all just one step away from enlightenment? If only we could unlock our minds.

Not given the tools to do so seems rather prophetic. Or were we given those tools long ago we are just too arrogant to use them?

Do the ancient ruins that grace our planet hold the key to unlock our future? Or are they a sinister reminder of a fate we will soon share?

I refuse to believe this is all there is.

Life is short but it doesn’t have to be worth nothing. Do what makes you happy. I have a feeling this is the key to perpetual bliss!

I say we let the past stay dead, and our present be filled with chains breaking and minds expanding, and let the future churn out nothing but wiser more satisfied, more content human beings.
