MASKS

MASKS

WRITE A POST IN RESPONSE TO TODAY’S ONE – WORD PROMPT.

Since I have already did a post on MASKS I will just repost it. Here it is:

WRITING 101 POETRY DAY 9

We all wear Mask,

No one knows what kind but us.

That loving mother that secretly beats her kids,

That great father that sneaks into his daughter’s room at night.

The next door neighbor you thought was such a nice man,

He is now serving life for several murders.

That lady you thought had such an attitude,

she is now the new pastor at your church.

The kid you thought was a spoiled rich kid,

Just donated all his money to the needy.

These are examples of the masks we wear,

Perception is everything now a days.

Whatever happened to don’t judge a book by its cover,

You never know you may not like what you see inside.

It could just be blank pages,

Or is it  just really good camouflage.
